The Saros 20’s 8.8 cm threshold figure needs context. It does not mean the robot can climb one vertical 8.8 cm step. Roborock’s test used two separate threshold levels measuring up to 4.5 cm and 4.3 cm, with a gap of more than 12 cm but no more than 14 cm between them.

The newer model also raises stated suction from 22,000 Pa to 36,000 Pa, an increase of approximately 64%. That is a substantial specification increase, but it should not be interpreted as 64% better cleaning on every floor.

Published standardized testing found that the Saros 20 improved carpet and pet-hair pickup compared with the Saros 10R. However, the same testing found that the 10R performed better in some obstacle-avoidance and stain-cleaning situations.

Should You Buy the Saros 10R or Saros 20?
